Two months after releasing the single ‘Keep it Pushing’, striving rapper RVDI taps Ugly Willo for its remix.
On the track mixed and mastered by budding local woman producer Teddy Dreams, RVDI describes his music as healing. ‘Keep it Pushing’ was born at the start of 2021 as part of his rebrand. According to him, a fresh start was needed and he couldn’t miss out on an opportunity to motivate himself and his peers after such a tumultuous year.
Not long after it’s release, fellow rapper Ugly Willo tapped in for the remix. RVDI tells WAVES, “A couple weeks after it dropped, Willo sent me a DM and told me he wants to remix it. I sent it to him and when I got it back his verse had me excited to drop it.”
In addition to Willo’s accompaniment, the remix also features a verse top-up from RVDI.
The rapper, singer and songwriter started making music in 2017 and has since released two mixtapes and 25 singles. According to him, he can fit into many boxes. He says, “I’m very versatile so I can go in on songs like ‘Bankroll’ or show my vulnerable side on a song like ‘Love Letters’. My rap style is mainly melodic but lyrical at the same time.”
