Drake, Jack Harlow and Crypto company Stake sponsor $20k to Turks and Caicos singer Janardo Laporte

The donation was made in collaboration with rapper Jack Harlow and cryptocurrency betting platform Stake, as part of Drake's mission to improve the lives of others.

Every other week it seems the Turks and Caicos Islands are graced with the presence of Air Drake’s vertical stabiliser peeking from above the bushes in Downtown Providenciales — and it is proving to be a blessing.

Earlier this month, the singer donated $20,000 to local singer Janardo Laporte who provides entertainment at the Grace Bay Club hotels. The cash was presented on the spot to Laporte, who shares that the money would go towards his children and the betterment of his music career.

Drake explains that the donation was made in collaboration with rapper Jack Harlow and cryptocurrency betting platform Stake, as part of his mission to improve the lives of others.

If you’ve stopped by Wymara hotel or Seven Stars, you’ve probably heard Laporte’s vocals or were graced with his saxophonist skills. The guy is already a star and we hope that career-changing opportunities are spurred on from this.

Meanwhile, rumour has it Drake has been funding a number of TCI owned businesses and individuals since his frequent arrivals, which is nothing short of encouraging for our budding movers and shakers in the islands.

We champion this move and hope to see more initiatives like these.
