March 5, 2021: Swearing in Ceremony of the House of Assembly & Ecumenical Service has begun

Today March 5, 2021, the members of the House of Assembly officially take their places as they are sworn in.

As the Swearing in Ceremony & Ecumenical Service took place in a pandemic, this called for an unusual location swap to outdoors. Adhering to tradition, the ceremony took place in the nation’s capital Grand Turk on the Parade Grounds.

The House of Assembly is made up of 21 members. This consists of the Elected and Appointed members along with the Speaker of the House and the Attorney General.
