After two consecutive years of cancellations, CARIFTA Games 2022 is now underway! Taking place in Jamaica from April 16-18, 2022, 18 athletes from the Turks and Caicos Islands will be competing in the track & field games, vying for a top spot in the Caribbean region.
We will be seeing a plethora of our athletes who have been training abroad and some competing regionally for the first time.
Among the team is Antwon Walkin, bronze medallist at this year’s Inter-Secondary Schools Boys and Girls Championships (ISSA) also known as ‘Champs’ in Jamaica. Based on his performance, he is a favourite to look out for on the podium at the CARIFTA Games this year.
